Over 40 Years Caring for Mini Cassia Kids

Lorraines has been part of Burley, Idaho since the early 1980s. Under new ownership, but the same trusted name, the same caring team, and the same deep roots in this community.

Who We Are

Lorraines Daycare & Preschool has been part of the Burley community for over four decades, and the space shows it. We have 12,000 square feet of purpose-built space, a huge indoor gym, and a full acre of beautiful lawn shaded by giant mature trees. There's room here for every age and every wiggle.

But size isn't what keeps families coming back. It's the people! Experienced caregivers who know your kiddo by name, who celebrate every milestone, who call you when something seems off, and who genuinely love what they do. Many of our teachers speak fluent Spanish, something families across Mini Cassia really appreciate.

Under new ownership, we've invested in the facility, refreshed our programs, and deepened our commitment to the Montessori-inspired, play-based approach that has always made Lorraines special. The name is the same. The heart is the same. The future is even brighter.

Our Approach: Play-Based, Montessori-Inspired

We believe kiddos learn best when they're engaged, curious, and following their own interests, with a skilled guide beside them. That's the Montessori philosophy in a nutshell, and it's at the heart of everything we do at Lorraines.

Child-Led Discovery

We follow each child's natural curiosity rather than pushing everyone through the same lesson at the same time. Children learn to love learning.

Hands-On, Not Screen-On

Real materials. Real experiences. Art, building, nature, music, cooking, learning through doing is how young children develop deep understanding.

Whole Child Development

Academics matter, but so does emotional intelligence, physical development, creativity, and resilience. We nurture all of it.

Today

Under new ownership with the same dedicated team. Same name, same address, same commitment, with renewed energy and investment in the facility and programs.

Same Trusted Name. Fresh Commitment.

The new ownership team came to Lorraines because of its reputation: four decades of trust built one family at a time in Burley, Heyburn, Rupert, and Paul. We're not here to change what works. We're here to invest in it, improve it, and make sure the next 40 years are even better than the first.
